It is also called as a slab or a bar phone.<br><h2><a name="Clamshell"></a>Clamshell</h2>Aclamshell phone has two halves which are connected by a hinge. The tophalf of the phone has a speaker and display whereas, the bottom halfconsists of the keypad & other components.<br><h2><a name="Slide"></a>Slide</h2>Aslide phone (slider phone) has two segments: <br><br>1. The display part hasphone's screen and speaker. <br>2. The second part has a keypad. <br><br>Userhas to slide out the second half of the phone for sending a textmessage and for using some other applications of the phone.
